1. Why is there a file missing for a race?
    • There were technical problems at race time, and it was not possible to produce a file.
    • There were problems with the transferring of the file from the TV Van computer to the Web Server computer.
    • The file has yet to be transferred. There is a limited bandwidth to the racecourses, and it is not always possible to transfer the file immediately. Usually the transfer will be done the next day.
    • Videos are produced for the following racecourses only :
      Clairwood, Greyville, Kenilworth and Scottsville.
  2. When are the videos/commentaries available?
Some of the files may be uploaded during a race meeting, but all files will usually be available by 11h00 on the next working day after the race meeting.
  3. Why is the file taking so long to download?
The average size of a video file is 3MBytes. Depending on your connection speed, the download time can vary from 13 minutes on a 32Kbit modem to 4 minutes on a 128Kbit ISDN line. The MP3 audio files average 500K.
  4. What format are these files in?
The video files are in MPEG format, and the audio files are in MP3. Both of these formats should be playable by your standard Video program (e.g. Windows Media Player).
